Richard has decades of experience at CFO level with large listed corporates, principally in the infrastructure, engineering and resources sectors. As a seasoned financial executive, he has extensive experience in raising debt & equity capital, valuation, financing, acquisition, divestment and post acquisition integration for complex businesses.

Richard established Mandanex Group in 2014, a corporate advisory business with operations across the region. He has successfully assisted a wide range of clients with strategic growth planning and valuations together with a full range of transactions based advisory work. In 2023, he took on the role of CEO for BlueMount Capital, a leading mid-market investment bank based out of Sydney.

Richard is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants ANZ, CA Business Valuation Specialist, Registered Business Valuer and Fellow of AIBB. He is a director or advisory board member to a number of private companies. He has lived and worked throughout Asia, Australia and New Zealand

Outside of business, Richard spent many years in governance roles in the education sector. He passionately believes in the contribution each and every young person can make. He acts as mentor for younger CAANZ members.

I am one of the Mandanex Group’s founding members. I operate as a mid market mergers & acquisitions advisor in Australia and NZ.
I divide my time between international business sales, staff training, marketing, communications and a myriad of different behind the scenes tasks.
Having lived in many different countries and cultures, I am familiar with and passionate about many things. Experience includes private equity, investment banking, business appraisals, web design, various languages, art, natural horsemanship and personal and professional development in the corporate, aged care, disability and education sectors specialising in team building and leadership via EAL (Equine Assisted Learning Facilitation).
